Veronica Scotti is a senior executive in reinsurance and public sector risk, with nearly three decades at Swiss Re across roles in Zurich, New York and Toronto. Most recently she served as Chairperson of Swiss Re's Public Sector Solutions division, where she led the company's global engagement with governments, public agencies and international organisations on societal resilience, disaster risk management, financial inclusion and climate adaptation. Earlier at Swiss Re she was President and CEO for Canada and the English Caribbean, and held senior director roles spanning both the Zurich and New York offices. Before joining Swiss Re, she worked in investment banking at Fox-Pitt Kelton, BNP Paribas and UBS, with a focus on financial institutions and European corporate finance.
Veronica is actively engaged in governance and advisory roles at the intersection of climate, resilience and sustainable finance. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Gold Standard Foundation and an Advisory Council Member of the Bretton Woods Committee. She sits on the Advisory Committee of the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation and is a member of the International Women's Forum. She has been a Member of the GIB Board of Directors since 2022, and brings to that role deep expertise in public sector risk, climate resilience, and the mobilisation of private finance for sustainable development.
