Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation partners with KPMG Middle East to expand FAST-Infra Label adoption in the Levant and Gulf regions

Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation (GIB) has partnered with KPMG Middle East and FAST-Infra to support adoption of the FAST-Infra Label across the Middle East. As Secretariat of the Label, GIB will work alongside KPMG's infrastructure advisory team as it helps public and private clients in the region apply the Label's criteria to their projects.

Gulf countries are investing heavily in new cities and transport networks under national plans such as Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. The investors funding this growth increasingly look for consistent, comparable evidence of how each project performs on sustainability and resilience.

Since 2008, GIB has worked with stakeholders across the infrastructure value chain, from city governments to project financiers, to set standards for sustainable and resilient infrastructure. The FAST-Infra Label, which GIB launched with the FAST-Infra Group and Bloomberg L.P. at the World Economic Forum in January 2025, brings that work together in a single global benchmark. KPMG Middle East's regional presence now gives the Label a direct route to the developers and public institutions shaping the Gulf's infrastructure pipeline.
