The City Finance Lab is a platform supporting the development of innovative, scalable and replicable financing solutions that increase investment in climate-resilient, low-carbon and green urban projects for sustainable cities.
Urban centres are in dire need of climate finance and action in order to meet the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 1.5º and become carbon neutral by 2050.
The project launches a call for proposals where cities can apply with their ideas about innovative financing solutions. The project supports cities in the following ways:
1. Technical Advisory
Analysis and guidance to strengthen solution desing, find partners and attract potential investors., from City Finanance Lab-assigned topical and geographical experts.
2. Knowledge Sharing & Capacity Building
Socializing its results is at the CFLs core, since sharing the experience of each innovative idea will mobilise other urban centres to replicate and scale climate-action for all.
