Introduction

About the project

The aim of the Mekong Delta Climate Resilience Programme (MCRP), jointly funded by Vietnam, Germany, and Switzerland, is to enhance the climate-resilient management of natural resources in the Mekong Delta's coastal region and promote its sustainable development.

The MCRP focuses on establishing regional coordination, improving investment planning, implementing innovative technologies for climate resilience, and developing water-sensitive urban infrastructure, particularly regarding flood management.

The MCRP collaborates with local authorities to develop sponge city concepts in three pilot cities, aiming to showcase Nature-based Solutions for sustainable urban development and flood management.
